Opheliac//For You, Always For You-'Split'

We don't put out many splits here, even less-so in this sonic direction, but when one of your favorite people from the community starts a new project, it's tough to turn down being involved in the first release.

For You, Always For You is the new project of longtime folk punk/skramz conspirator Lillyn aka Moon Pillow. The abrasiveness of the electrified banjo on these tracks is the perfect compliment for the tortured vocals that drew me to Lillyn's music years ago. It's pure, heavy emotion.

Hailing from Ontario, Opheliac is a new introduction for me. A section of the DIY-scape that I admittedly spend less time around, the moody ambiance of their music has been playing well as I settle into the cold months.

I sent most of these out to the respective artists, and kept about a dozen on-hand here for those of you who aren't able to able to see either live.
